The Arsenal Stadium Mystery

Strangely Good....
... if rather wooden 1930s' B Movie about the team of the day. Bloke drops down dead in the middle of a football game and it gets called off. Wouldn't happen now would it?! But its a murder not a heart attack. Investigation ensues with a Scotland Yard detective more concerned with the 'ballet' he's is trying to put on with a load of big coppers. Dreadfull plot but good period shots - probably one for Arsenal fans who miss the old Highbury.

DAMAGED DVD
DVD WAS DAMAGED... FREEZES AND SKIPS...
ONLY GOT IT CAUSE I AM INTERESTED IN ALL THINGS ARSENAL.
NO BIG DEAL

Fun for old Arsenal fans...
OK mystery, if you love Premier League soccer and old-time Arsenal it's a LOT better. Mystery is weak, comedy is limited.

Golf's Grand Design

Pretty Good, but not Great
The video covers the large concepts of architecture and biggest names over the 20th century. It misses out on some important elements of architecture, such as how the course location (parkland vs. seaside) will drive choices the architect makes. I liked it because I'm happily amazed it was made at all; as a student and afficianado of golf course architecture, I was a little disappointed.

A useful history look at golf
Really a verbal look at the history of golf course architecture in America and the major practitioners past and present and with a bit of ego stroking i would possibly allege but hey some of the golf work is just superb - very little to do with actual design or info - but quite interesting re the history and background info but of little real value if your chasing actual golf design info or architectural tips in my humble opinion - but as i said still interesting
cheers rob

Episode 1

A Complicated Plot Of International Espionage, Violence, And Sex Makes "Project Dawn" A Satisfyingly Adult Thriller
In a curious decision, Cinemax decided to import the British spy adventure "Strike Back" to its U.S. viewing schedule. In and of itself, that's certainly not a strange choice as this entertaining program is an expert blend of espionage, action, humor, and sex. What is odd is that they started with Season Two (must have to do with money, always has to do with money)! So the designation used in the DVD release stating that this is the Complete First Season is a tad misleading. It is simply the first season that was brought to a North American audience. For purists or completists, the first season is being sold on an All Region DVD/Blu-ray (with potential playback problems for some U.S. players) as "Chris Ryan's Strike Back." So check that out or hope for a Region 1 DVD version. It is six solid and self-contained episodes featuring a tremendously astute and multi-layered performance by Richard Armitage as the central hero John Porter. Armitage does show up to play a pivotal role...

It's About Time! A Rated "MA" Cross Section of 24, The Border & Spooks!
24 off the air! The Border off the air! Spooks in the final season! Caught Strike Back on Cinemax and it is great to watch a series with a budget that is not hampered by US censors. Violence galore, nudity and a very interesting plot. Strike Back may not have the complexity of Spooks, though with much more in your face violence, it is like 24 on steroids with some of the witty dialogue reminiscent of the last 2 seasons of The Border. As this is done in a serial format, watching in a few sittings would be like a really long non stop action movie. Highly recommended.

SPOOKS (aka MI-5) meets 24 with a certain 'Cinemax' touch!
Ahh, Cinemax. Home to all of the same movies on HBO but also home to everyone's favorite late-night soft-core porn. So how does this channel look to distinguish itself from HBO other than the soft-core porn? Two words: Original Programming. But since it's Cinemax, it has to have a program that not too dissimilar in flavor to what Cinemax is so well-known for. So they imported a show from the UK originally called CHRIS RYAN'S STRIKE BACK, shortened the title, and according to information about that show, Cinemax splashed it with a super-sized helping of pretty graphic violence and lots of (mostly) unnecessary sex and lo and behold Cinemax gave us STRIKE BACK.

The show is, in essence, a volatile chemical mixture of the conspiracies and action of 24, the stand-alone episodic suspense and serious character work of SPOOKS (known here in the US on PBS as MI-5), the kind of tech and teamwork of THE UNIT, the kind of graphic violence Premium Cable allows for, and some of the...

Verdi: Il Trovatore

MARVELLOUS!!
My relationship with Il Trovatore goes way back to the Bjoerling, Milanov monaural LP. With the advent of the DVD, I had hoped for a performance that would do justice to this exceptional work but was very disappointed with the Cura, Villaroel version, where the staging was awful and the tenor was too. The Domingo, Kabaivanska disc was an exceptional performance conducted by von Karajan, but the picture and sound suffered simply because of the age of the original taping. But the opera gods have blessed me exceptionally well with this incredibly well done performance.

Not only is this performance musically near perfect (with the exception of using the usual cuts, although Leonora's last act cabaletta is performed) but the staging is wonderful, with singers who can act as well as sing. I think it was Caruso who noted that a good Trovatore requires four world class singers at the top of their game, and the pricipals here are exactly that.

Trovatore, of course, is...

Tiepido
IL TROVATORE, at this writing the eleventh most frequently performed work in the Metropolitan's annals, has had a checkered recent history at that theater. David McVicar's production, seen here in a revival two years following its 2009 debut, represented an uptick in TROVATORE's fortunes. It replaced a notorious production by Graham Vick, which had premiered in the late 1990s to much derision and was subsequently "gutted" by then-GM Joseph Volpe, to such a degree that Vick asked his name be removed from it. It did not augur well when McVicar was quoted as saying, "On a bad day I think IL TROVATORE is one of the stupidest operas ever written. Before I took it on, I thought that. But that's why I took it on." But the Scottish director went on to deliver a production that is, in the main, apposite and sturdy, likely capable of accommodating new casts in the coming years. He employs the Met stage's turntable to achieve fluidity and momentum from scene to scene, and his direction is...

Fabulous! Hooray for Verdi and the Met
Trovatore is the Verdi so many of us love - exciting, beautiful, thrilling music with a plot that is difficult for modern sensibilities to take seriously. This performance is the perfect example of 19th century Italian opera at it best. While all of the leads were excellent, Hvorostovsky stole the show for me. His Di Luna is insane and mesmerizing in his insanity. Radvanovsky, Zajick and Alvarez were excellent also. Occasionally the director adds unnecessary stage filler like the prostitutes in the soldiers camp but in general the production is straight forward and keeps the action moving. The quality of the sound and especially the video are excellent. I watched this twice back to back and am looking forward to watching it again.

Heartland: Complete Second Season (As seen on GMC/UP)

BE ADVISED: "GMC" Release Is Season 2: Ep. 10 to Season 3: Ep. 14
First, to rate the show-- it fully deserves 5 stars! It's definitely one of my (few) favorite current shows I watch. I actually first saw the show on the "CW Network" in the US in late 2010, and soon afterwards caught up on all the episodes posted online (FYI, the CW network is no longer airing episodes in the US, only GMCTV).
Now, I'm current, and am awaiting the new season 6 which airs on the CBC in Canada!
**EDIT: There WILL be a Season 7 sometime around Sept. 2013!**
_____________

In regards to the dvd set I received:

This is the mistake I just figured out tonight (AFTER I removed the wrapper & discs)... At the very bottom (the last sentence) on the back cover, it states: "Please Note: This Package Contains Episodes 23 To 45 Of Heartland As Seen On GMCTV".

I went online and compared the original CBC/Canadian lineup with the episodes named in the "GMCTV's Completed Second Season" set, and figured out that it is in fact season 2...

Great series - be careful of which set you're getting
This is a fantastic series, but this season 2 picks up 9 episodes after season 1 ends. There's a complete list on Wikipedia. The series was apparently released in two versions, with one of them having the 'as seen on GMC' note. If you start with one set, keep on with it. The two sets can't be mixed and matched very well, as you'll find yourself with missing or overlapping episodes. Hopefully this will help others avoid confusion when Episode 1 of Season 2 starts off with "previously on Heartland"... only to be full of characters and storylines that weren't on Season 1!

Heartland the Complete Second Season is NOT COMPLETE
I purchased this DVD for our daughter. After starting to watch the first episode she realized that the first episode did not follow the last episode on season 1. The top portion of the front cover says as seen on gmc. At the bottom it states Complete Second Season. On the back cover at the bottom in very small lettering it states this package contains episodes 23-45 of heartland as seen on gmctv. I actually love this series but I think the packaging was very deceitful and I would have purchased the other version of this series if I had known this was not truely the complete second season.

The Flu

So happy this available!
It doesn't really say on the title, but this is THE BEST OF Clarissa Explains It All, Volume 5. It is not Season 5. I don't care what you call it, I'm stoked that I can watch episodes beyond Season 1. Nickelodeon released Season 1 on DVD years ago, but there's no signs of any additional seasons being released. I watched the Season 1 set over and over again before I found more episodes on Amazon.

amusing still
Over 10 years later and I still love this show! An interesting take on life lessons and teenage problems. I was happy to be able to access it easily from home.

It's good
The only thing that kinda sucks is that it isn't the complete series, just the "best of."
If you can get past that it's the same old Clarissa we know and love.

William & Catherine: A Royal Romance DVD

Much better than Lifetime's Will and Kate
I watched this movie when it premired on the Hallmark channel...I have to say it was much better than Lifetime's take on Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Why do I think it's a better movie? To be honest the movie script was written better than Lifetimes's; for an example: it included not only Charles's POV on their relationship but also Queen Elizabeth's POV.

Overall an excellent movie, but there is one thing I have against it...the movie didn't show the events between the engagment and wedding; as well as the Royal Wedding itself.

If they did that...it would have been perfect!

If You Love These Boys You Will Love This Movie
The 411 by Maria:

I watched this today while Teach took the kids to the beach for some outdoor time while I rested on the couch.

If like me, you grew up watching Princess Diana marry, enjoyed watching her with her two sons William and Harry while they grew up, were affected by her untimely death, and devastated while you watched those two young boys march behind their moms coffin, you are undoubtedly interested in the lives of William and Harry as adults.

While I don't read everything on their private lives I was aware of most of the movie which depicts Prince William and Kate Middleton's relationship from meeting to engagement.

The actors appearance don't do the actuals just but I thoroughly enjoyed watching the blossoming relationship between a common girl and an actual Prince.

Victor Garber and Jean Smart as Charles and Camilla do a great job although I cannot picture the relationship they seem to have, I enjoyed when they...

Okay
It was a typical boy meets girl movie, which didn't go into much depth into their lives as a young unmarried couple. I found it a bit boring.

Jarvez (Season Finale) [HD]

Totally inspiring
I am able to to take ideas from what they are doing and try them out in my own life. I decided to train for the sprint triathlon and yesterday completed 2 legs the 12.5 mile bike and the 750 meter swim. In my office I can stand up and sit down in the chair 15 times every hour and that is a beginning form of squats. I am finding places to squeeze exercise into my busy life and I am losing weight. Chris Powell has made me believe that I can lose weight too even if I have a little pain from old injuries and I am. I am learning to be comfortable with the uncomfortable.

Thank you Extreme Weight Loss
Extreme Weight Loss is by far my favorite, most inspiring show! My friends consider me Chris Powell's #1 fan. I like having past season's episodes on my Kindle so that I can always remember the inspiring transformations. I am thankful to Chris and Extreme Weight Loss for changing my life!

Great and Inspiring show!
I love, love, love Chris Powell. He is such in inspiration and filled with compassion! His approach with the people he helps is a win, win. He teaches them to dig deep and to find the person they have covered up with fat.

Story of Wales

The best I've seen
I'm about 75% Welsh and was raised to value "the old country". I've had the pleasure of touring there, meeting distant relatives, and seeing the houses where two of my grandparents were born.

I've viewed a number of DVDs abut Wales and found themn to be quite disappointing. But this one is stellar! Really, really good! I'm going to circulate it among my three sons.

If you have a connection to Wales, I highly recommend this 6-hour DVD set!

Fascinating
A very exciting and expertly presented history documentary by the Welsh historian Huw Edwards who shows himself to be a master presenter. Her he takes us through 30 000 years of Welsh history to demonstrate with the use of filmography of the beautiful Welsh landscape of deep landscape of broad low mountains and deep green valleys and picturesqe Welsh towns and cities. As well as well acted dramatic sketches.
It takes us from prehistoric times through Roman occupation and the Viking and Anglo-Saxon harrowing of that country through the resistance to English domination led by Welsh princes.
Wales involvement in the Wars of the Roses and the seizure of power by a welsh born nobleman Henry Tudor as King at Bosworth in 1485 are here presented.
So with the moulding of Wales into the United Kingdom, the boom of the Industrial Revolutions and the terrible deprivations suffered by the Welsh working classes, leading to a series of riots and struggles for better conditions...

One of the few movies about Wales
Since I was born and raised in Wales I was very interested in viewing this movie. I found it very interesting and quite authentic
compared to my experience of living there. It seemed to demonstrate a good sense of the history and day to day life of the recent past. Worth watching for those with a welsh connection!

Goodbye Sarah Jane Smith, Part 2

American fans have been cheated!
Every story in this season is terrific, but the U.S. set does not have any special features. In the U.K., this series was released with a fantastic special feature--the complete "Doctor Who" adventure from 1975, "The Pyramids of Mars," with the 4th Doctor and Sarah Jane. They should have included it in the U.S. edition as well.

The best Sarah Jane yet
I've enjoyed this show since the beginning, and considering it's a kids show, I've always found it to have some surprising maturity and depth. And the things that really annoyed me about some of the early Dr. Who episodes (e.g. fart jokes and childish "gross-out" moments) were always present but less annoying in the Sarah Jane Adventures, because of the context and target audience. Well, I'm happy to say that season 4 not only does away with childish gross-out-ness (for the most part), the stories have a more serious and mature tone than seasons past, with more emphasis on character (although they have always been very good in this respect). Also some noticeably improved acting from Tommy Knight, and very solid performances from the other two. Even a moment from Rani that moved me to tears. Clyde, as always, is my favorite, and he has a great season here. And Elisabeth Sladen, of course, is simply stunning as the Sarah Jane we've known and loved for so many years. She will be very...

A happy and bittersweet DVD set
THE SARAH JANE ADVENTURES started its fourth season with a surprise, the departure of costar Tommy Knight ("Luke") and K-9. He reappeared via web conversations with the main cast and occassional walk-ons.
The high point is the long-delayed onscreen meeting of Sarah Jane and her immediate predescessor, Jo Grant. It's a great story. Even better, it includes a postscript where Sarah Jane gives a rundown of the post-Doctor activities of all the Companions known to modern Earth.
The bittersweet part is at the time none of the viewership knew how ill Elisabeth Sladen was. She and the producers knew. The final episode plays with the idea of replacing Sarah Jane by a new character but .... no, I'll stop there.
The series ends with a fitting curtain call, both for the series, the character, and the actress.

animatronic character creation-part two
Awsome stuff. Combined with part one, this is an eight hour master class. The only thing I didn't like about it was it didn't have anything about the blinks and eye movement. Happily I have got that knowledge from elsewhere, but everything else in this dvd series meets the expectations of excellence that people generally have of Stan Winston Studios.

Really?
This was SOOO stupid - and I bought the whole season - it was boring .. hopefully there will be no season 2! I liked the original Mob Wives but this one was lame!

Unwatchable
The original Mob Wives was interesting. This offshoot is nothing but contrived drivel. I've grown up in Chicago, and sure there's a lot of mob history, but it's exactly that: history. I don't know what barrel they scraped these women off the bottom of. The mob doesn't exist in Chicago any more, so these women and their alleged mob ties are ridiculous.

Love it!!
Since I'm a faithful watcher of Mob Wives, I thought I'd give Mob Wives Chicago a go. Being from Chicago myself, I never really knew the Mob was in my own city. I'm kinda sad that there's only one season of MWC. There won't be a second one. :(

Jesse Stone: Benefit of the Doubt

More Melancholy Mystery As Selleck Returns In His Eighth Outing As Jesse Stone
Tom Selleck is back in the role he was born to play for this eighth outing in the popular Jesse Stone series. Stone must surely be one of the most laid back heroes to ever grace the small screen and Selleck has perfected the minimalism necessary to make this character stand out. I don't know who author Robert B. Parker might have envisioned inhabiting his iconic small town police chief, but Selleck has certainly owned and perfected the role over the course of these last seven years of TV movies. Starting in 2005, these movies have proven that there is still an adult audience looking for thoughtful drama. I do think each chapter thus far has enough to recommend it on its own merits. You'll appreciate the films to varying degrees as with any serialization--some you may love, some just like. Here's a run down before I comment of "Benefit of the Doubt."

2005: Stone Cold
2006: Night Passage
2006: Death In Paradise
2007: Sea Change
2009: Thin Ice
2010: No...

Back in Harness...
"Benefit of the Doubt", the eighth Jesse Stone TV movie, finds the former Paradise police chief back on the job, rehired after a mysterious explosion wipes out his successor. Jesse sets out to solve the mystery, working somewhat at odds with the state homicide squad and an inquisitive town councilman.

Like previous installments of the Jesse Stone franchise, Tom Selleck as Jesse Stone spends a lot of time drinking coffee and contemplating the beautiful seascape of Paradise with his aging dog, when he's not breaking into his own office, stepping on official toes, romancing the secretary at the local car dealership, or reaching out to former employees. Most of the recurring cast of the Jesse Stone movies make appearences, including Kathy Baker, William Devane, and William Sadler. However, this story is mostly about Jesse's refusal to accept the easy answer about the death of the previous chief. His dogged pursuit of justice and his considerable detecting skills lead him...

Outstanding
I thought they might be pushed for an interesting story line, but this one starts it all over again, and leaves the way for a sequel ,so easily. There are surprises right away, that you are not ready for, and pave the way for some interesting dramatics.
The dog is a star again, and surprises everyone.
An interesting twist on the villains, and you are never quite clear about what is going on, and why.
Jessie's love life is interesting, but boy did he blow it, with the secretary for Gino. That would have been too exhausting to cope with;Jessie too.
Seeing "Suitcase" as a fisherman, is hard to deal with, but his later decision, is awesome.
The opening Ocean scenes are fantastic, and well done!

Looking forward to the next "Movie"--

Resignation Day

Good Political and Family Drama with a Touch of Conspiracy
Political Animals follows the careers, private lives and fortunes of a former First Family transparantly based on the Clintons. Sigourney Weaver plays Elaine Barrish, the character based on Hillary Clinton and she does a wonderful job. Elaine Barrish was a former first lady who ran for the Presidential Nomination of the Democratic Party and lost to a younger, more media friendly male candidate. Elaine Barrish then campaigned for that President and was named Secretary of State, a role where she did a very good job and that increased her popularity, especially in light of the lackluster performance of the president.

Bud Hammond is the Bill Clinton character and Ciarin Hinds does a wonderful job combining both the lovable and the creepy in a man who loves his wife but is incapable of keeping his hands off other women. Political Animals is more of a family drama and soap opera than a political drama, desptie the inclusion of a plot point with hostages in Iran and the tacit...

Great political story with a shot of night time soap
I love this show. It got a little bit of a bad rap it seemed from some reviewers. It's not political enough, or if it was too political it would be more scrutinized. At its heart is the dysfunctional, political family the Hammonds. And an ambitious reporter who is trying to get the inside scoop, played by the captivating and incredible Carla Gugino. This woman is the real star here. Sigourney Weaver is amazing as Secretary of State Elaine Barrish, newly divorced from Bud Hammond, who just happens to be the former President. This show was billed as a limited series event with a six episode run. I'll admit, its started out a bid shaky, but found its footing. By episode 6, it was right where it needs to be.

The great thing about this show is it never takes itself too seriously. Its kind of winking at you the whole time. Very tongue in cheek. The whole cast is spectacular, including Ellen Burstyn, Sebastian Stan, and James Wolk. Everyone has secrets and demons. One minute its...

SOS
Sigourney Weaver is a marvelously talented actor, and the role of Elaine Babbish elevates her to a new level. This is her show! It is said this is a take off of Hilary Clinton, and in some senses it is. Her ex-husband was thevPresident, she ran for thePresidency to lose to a younger, charismatic man, and she serves her country as Secretary of State. The similarities end there. This SOS seems to be the only cabinet member who has a sense of ethics, with a know how presence to proceed.

Beside Elaine's political life, she has a family. Twin sons, the good one is her Chief of Staff, the not so good one, a drug addict homosexual. A lot to load on one person, ey? Her mother lives with hem, she is a former play girl, now focused on her alcohol. The ex-husband played by Ciran Hinds is a bumbling fool, and he des not do the role justice.

A newspaper journalist, Susan Berg, played by the gorgeous, Carla Guien, has the real meaty role. She has written nasty articles about...

Whatever Gets You Through the Night

Second Season Even Better Than The First
I shan't bombared you readers with technical details about the actors, performance, directing, etc... of this show. Just wanted to stop by and give my opinion on Men Of A Certain Age Season Two...

I truly haven't been this impressed with a television show since the pilot episode of Eureka some years ago (and very seldom before that). Finally, there is a series on my TV that not only is fun, but displays some actual maturity as well. And quite frankly, Men Of A Certain Age is far more real than any reality tv program running today. If you have not yet seen Men Of A Certain Age, by all means put it on your netflix list, check it out on Hulu or TNT.com, or better yet, just buy the first season on DVD because I doubt very much you will be disappointed with such a purchase.

If I must admit to a greivence with Men Of A Certain Age, there are two that come to mind. Each episode is so well written and paced that you find yourself lost within it's run-time and...

Im so sad it's cancelled
I agree with everything A.G. said. Thank you for the insightful review.
It never ceases to amaze me how TV producers can continue to find more shocking trashy reality shows to put on the air. Then when anything with class comes on the air it doesn't make it for more than 2 seasons. I am so disappointed that this country can't find interest in a show with heart, warmth and nonshocking reality.

;0)
Another good season for me personally, Ray Romano, Andre Braugher & Scott Bakula did a good job the second season. And basically picks up where it left off, Scott's character is getting older still trying to find himself, sleeps with anything that walks hehehe, Andre's character still the family man and run the dealership & Ray's character still trying to get out their and date and I guess find himself since his divorce. What I love about this show is the hint of humor it has and the journey it takes you on with these 3 friends.

The World Stage

Original and funny!!!
The writing and acting are terrific in this incredibly original 6 episode series. I never thought I could be captivated by a show with bullets flying everywhere, but the dialogue in each scene, is so funny and great, I couldn't get enough. Set in a place named Bruteville, the production design gives the exact right noirish look to a city with warring crime bosses. I adore Eddie Izzard and this is a perfect turn for Eric Roberts. Neil Napier and Kate Kelton are great in their roles, but, Max Williams is truly outstanding as the lead who, ...you guessed it, took the 'bullet in the face.' I loved this show!

A Cheesy And Uproarious Send-Up Of Detective Noir Filled With Action Mayhem And Unrelenting Comic Violence
"Is he good? Is he bad? A psychopath or a sexy cad?" This is how the loopy theme song for "Bullet in the Face" begins and, trust me, this silly little song perfectly encapsulates the offbeat humor of this rollicking six part series from Canada. I became intrigued by this show without knowing too much about it other than it starred Eddie Izzard and Eric Roberts as rival crime bosses in a dystopian cityscape known simply as Bruteville. Originally broadcast on IFC, "Bullet in the Face" has a dark comic allure that is completely over-the-top (and feels very much like a crazy graphic novel come to life) and may not be for everyone. However, if you are tired of the mundane formula shows that populate the TV landscape, this offer something decidedly different. It's a wild ride, to be sure, but one that I often found uproariously funny. Purposefully cheesy, the show revels in low-budget debauchery, senseless violence, and salty wordplay. Where it succeeds so successfully, though, is that...

Stott Pilates Fitness Circle Challenge DVD

Stott Fitness Circle Workout
I completely agree with all the 5-star reviewers here in that Moira put together an effective, thorough and very useful fitness circle workout. I used this DVD for the first time this morning, and I felt it was 40 minutes well spent. She used the fitness circle in a myriad of ways, to pulse together working the pecs (half time then double time while lifting the knee out front to work on balancing), and then placed between the knees for pulsing in various exercises thus tightening the inner thighs. Yes, she talks quite a bit, but her careful instruction covers the entire body, not just the parts that are working. She always ties in how movement in one part of the body affects another area, which to me, is extremely helpful and helps to prevent injury. Having performed most of Stott Pilates DVD workouts for the past year, 7 days a week, 40 minutes each, I've come to really appreciate Moira's knowledgeable instruction because I've noticed significant strengthening gains and a distinct...

World's Wildest Police Videos #513

worlds Wildest police videos .
It is 1 of my favorite series top 10 I say I like it because it's nice to see criminals getting what they deserve. and it was decently priced

Please Amazon, find the early years of W.W.P.V. & make them available for purchasing too!
I absolutely love this series & was thrilled when I heard that W.W.P.V. would be returning to TV after ten plus years of hiatus, with Paul Stojanovich Jr. at the helm & the familiar John Bunnel returning to the series.
The return was great & I am sure Paul Stojanovich Sr. is proud of his son's work in the revival of the series.

I enjoy TV shows that have car chases, police dash cam videos, court room videos, etc. I have a background in criminal justice, so I am sure that also factors heavily into what I watch. I like true crime. I hate that people get hurt & / or are victims of homicide, but it is a relief to see the perpetrator(s) caught & stopped.

I have bought almost all thirteen of the available episodes. I like to buy them & savor them..... Like Godiva chocolates. They are meant to be enjoyed & not inhaled. Just like this series. Savoring!!

Amazon.... Please see if you can get the earlier Seasons from the late 1990's & early 2000 when...

Dalziel & Pascoe: Season Six

Thank goodness for the Netherlands
Series Six contains the following four episodes on four disks:
Secrets of the Dead
Truth and Consequences
Walls of Silence
Home Truths

These episodes were originally broadcast in 2001. These episodes and Series Seven through Series Twelve have yet to be released in either the United States or England. Thank goodness we have this issue by the Netherlands. The episodes contain the original English soundtrack. The optional Nederlands subtitles can be turned off by selecting "uit" under the "Ondertitels" option on the main menu.

These disks are a Region 2 PAL version. They have not yet been released in the United States in Region 1 NTSC format. YOU MUST HAVE A REGION 2 OR REGION-FREE DVD PLAYER CAPABLE OF CONVERTING PAL SIGNAL TO NTSC TO PLAY THE DVD'S SOLD HERE.

The Indomitable Fat Man Continues
Fans of the Fat Man, you're not alone. Under Detective Superintendent Inspector Andy Dalziel's pugnacious exterior is a ferocious intelligence and working-class Yorkshire attitude. Warren Clarke is marvelous as the robust and uninhibited Dalziel. Colin Buchanan convincingly contrasts as Detective Inspector Peter Pascoe, trying to cope with balancing work and life. David Royle is wonderful as Inspector Wield. Yorkshire isn't the charming, murderous environs of Midsomer, nor rarified sphere of Inspector Morse's Oxford. No. This series features mysteries with the roughness of the rolling Yorkshire dales. To quote the Fat Man, "A man who can play the bagpipes shouldn't have trouble with this job." It's worth making it to the standout Series 7, with continuing narratives and real character development.

Even in the U.K., for some reason, you can't get these Dalziel & Pascoe Seasons without Dutch subtitles and Dutch product/story descriptions! For those of you who want more,...

Dutch import - Shortened!
It's a pity, but this Dutch Pal import has all episodes shortened by approx 10 minutes. The cutting has been done "gently", but leaves some strange ellipses.
No subtitles other than Dutch ones.
Otherwise good quality.

Stott Pilates Toning Ball Workout DVD

Pilates for Upper Body
I was surprised by this workout , I actually like it! I usually find Stott Workouts too boring but it was refreshing using 2 weighted balls in a pilates routine.Moira instructs 3 students who perform the exercises in different levels, they use the balls in every single exercise , even in pushups when you put one ball between your calves and one between your knees while doing them, by the end of the workout I was really sweating and feeling fatigued in the upper body but I don't weight train at all(I just do pilates & yoga) so for people who do, it might be easy.I use 2.2 pound (1kg) balls I bought at a local store , not the stott balls (it doesn't really matter). The workout is 40 min. Stott Pilates have another toning ball workout called "Amazing Tone" & according to them theyre very similar except this one have a few extra exercises and supposed to be for "teachers" and "avid home exercises " so don't buy both of them.

Stott Toning Ball Workout
Although this 42-minute workout did not produce a sweat for me, it did exhaust upper body muscles I didn't realize I had! As a result of using the Stott Pilates Toning Ball Workout for just a month, I've noticed a dramatic improvement in my posture, my arms and upper back, so the two and a half lb weighted balls used with the gentle movements of Stott Pilates is an outstanding combination. Moira uses the "shell stretch" after each exercise that includes reverse spinal flexion, which protects the back and the abdominals from injury, thus ensuring a safe and effective workout. I find her expert guidance and constant attention to her students' correct positioning extremely helpful in that I don't have to always look at them in order to understand what to do. That said, I highly recommend the Stott Pilates Toning Ball Workout.

Stott Pilates Intermediate Cadillac-2nd Edition DVD

It refers to "the client"
I found it useful, but I was surprised with a video directed to professionals and not to final user.
I expected a routine of workouts more than a guide for instructors.
The quality of images and general it is very good.

Good instruction, but moves a bit slow
This is a wonderful tape for learning perfect technique. It is a workout, but doesn't flow as quickly as I would like and they do reduce the reps to show a variations on exercises. It's all good, but it is not a "turn your brain off and follow the directions" type of workout. Great tips about your form and great ideas.

Great for instructors-confusing for me
Unless you remember exactly all the directions to do the exercise correclty, you only get a couple of reps since this is designed for instructors. It's challenging to use this as a student.

Brides look for wedding gowns at expensive plan. I highly recommend it. You have to pay for it but worth it.

WHY DID I WATCH THIS?
I wish I could have this hour of my life back. It was like watching a train wreck. These people are so arrogant and self indulgent.
What a horrible show. I hate reality tv! HATE IT!!!!

Glad we were able to find this episode and amazon made the search easy.

The Nerdist: Tribute to Time Travel [HD]

Great Show!
I wasn't sure at first how I would enjoy my favorite podcast as a tv show, but I think the guys at Nerdist Industries and BBC America did a great job. If you are a fan of the podcast then you will love the show.

Great Show
Great podcast and wonderful transition to television. I only wish it had been a little longer. Hopefully Chris, Matt, and Jonah will be able to make more episodes.

The Best Podcast on TV!!!
I was so excited when I heard that this was becoming a show. Definitely for fans of Chris Hardwick and the Nerdist podcast, along with Doctor Who fans, and fans of general awesomeness.

Bourgeois' Last Stand Pt. 2

This show proves louisiana is like no where else.
I had relatives from la and have visited friends also. This show has authentic la flavor and brings back a lot of memories. I love it.

Great entertainment
I don't know how realistic this "reality" TV show is, nor do I care. All I know is I love watching it. The characters are fun to follow, and the adventures (or non-adventures) they get themselves into are great television. I can't wait until it comes out on DVD! Sad to hear it probably won't come back for a second season...

Loving it!
This is a show I'm hoping A&E will continue. The filming is superb, almost as if you are watching a movie, and the content is full of suprises. They need more law enforcement shows like this.

A Great DVD!
This was a fun new continuation of season three! For anyone that has seen part one of this season (like I did) you were left hanging out there a bit at the end of the last DVD, so I know that I, for one, was definitely holding out hope that this DVD would come out sooner than later. Now that I have seen it, I have to say that it was worth the wait. You get such great humor within this series and within these episodes, and I love the artistry as well! I have some friends that do not completely understand the humor, but for me, I find the series, fun and entertaining and one that I would highly recommend!

The Angry Beavers: Season Three, Part 2

Glee: The Complete Third Season [Blu-ray]

Wonderful Show
I loved the first and second seasons of Glee, and I believe that season 3 continues with the same standard.

The musical numbers are all very diverse and dynamic with some really great vocals coming through from the more minor characters as well as the main stars of the show.

This season dealt with some very important and relevant topics in today's society and does so in a tasteful and delicate manner.

It also goes more deeply into the background and plot of a few characters, with some surprising and shocking twists.

I will definitely be buying this DVD because I enjoyed it so much, and because it is a great show with an extremely talented cast

A riveting season!
This season keeps giving great twists, laughs, the music is better, and it build towards an even more exciting 4th season. My only complaint is that that Terri who is one of the most interesting characters didn't make an appearance and neither did Gwyneth Paltrow. I would like to see a lot of the storylines get tied up in a more conclusive manner.

My thoughts on the season finale
Lauren Hoffman recently wrote a perfectly critical review on Vulture.com of the season three finale of Glee which, let's face it, is the final episode for most of us. Despite promises of most of the cast's return, we know that the focus will be on the juniors who are left over from this year. Students like Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) and Artie (Kevin McHale) will, more likely than not, see the show through to its actual end, coupled with the winners of the second season of The Glee Project. The appearances of cast members that everyone will be awaiting will be spread out thinly across the fourth season in brief cameos. The result is that we will never know when they will pop up, and that gimmick will keep us watching every week, same as I did with Jesse St. James (Jonathan Groff).

I disagree with Hoffman on the season finale that it was unforgivable to see such a poignant tune ("Forever Young") delivered by Mr. Schu (Matthew Morrison) so early in the show. I thought that was...

Closing Deals and Opening Doors [HD]

Selling in a tough market!
Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles is a reality show about real estate agents in Los Angeles; Madison, Josh and Josh. From what this show presents, it looks like the housing market is still in a slump but it is interesting to see how these guys manage.

Its a step down in pace from MDL New York, but it has its gems. I feel the agents are not as likable but you can still learn a thing or two watching them sell and put deals together. The backdrop of the luxurious side of Los Angeles with the LA-sized houses and glam make for fun eye candy.

For a "reality" TV show, the drama seems pretty weak, and some scenes seem set up or even staged, but even then, it makes for a fun viewing night.

Love These Guys!
As always they are entertaining, good at what they do and really fun to watch! I'm in the same business and actually got some usable tips as a bonus.

Fascinating!
This reality show about successful, upscale realtors in Los Angeles offers a fascinating peak into high-end real estate deals. We love the opportunity for a glimpse into these beautiful homes, but the business end of it is also absolutely fascinating!

Dexter: Seasons 1-6 [Blu-ray]

WARNING: WATCH IT FROM THE BEGINNING & THIS SHOW IS AWESOME!!!
***At the time of writing this price is 181.00 it's cheaper to buy seasons 1-5 combo & season 6 separately.*** Here: Dexter: Seasons 1-5 [Blu-ray]

This show is amazing telling you that really isn't as important as what I will tell you next because everybody pretty much appreciates the show. But what you need to do with Dexter, and really isn't an option but mandatory WATCH THIS SHOW FROM THE BEGINNING DO NOT WATCH IT OUT OF ORDER... I cannot stress this enough notice I use capital letters in the title also.

This show like many shows nowadays on Showtime and HBO and AMC arE just plain incredible and should be watched from the very beginning. Now I 1st watched Dexter 2 years ago and I watched the 1st episode of season 5 with my parents now longtime Dexter fans will know that that was a huge gigantic mistake. (That's the season after the Trinity killer) OMG was that a huge mistake so dumb, so...

Absolutely hooked
I've never been hooked to a tv series like this
. Fantastic show!!!! Watch and you too will be hooked.

All seasons are primo! watch or buy them all!
Dexter, what can you say after that word? except maybe Morgan, or killer, awesome viewing, great story etc etc. Can't wait from season to season to roll. I am a big time fan .Everything about this series is the best! bluray may bring out the beauty of the stories location but it also brings out the reality of Dexter, and his very vivid solutions to his worlds problems.

Pawn Stars: Volume 5

The Volume Debate Continues: 16 More Episodes, Half A Season And Half The Price
Quick Take: Essentially, this is half a season for half the price. A non-sale, non-discounted price of 19.95 fits in line with almost six hours worth of DVD content. A full season, had it been released that way, would simply have doubled the asking price.

Last year, History and A&E Television made the dubious decision to start releasing Volumes of their most popular shows as opposed to Seasons. I was one of the most vocal opponents of this move and some of my scathing tirades can be found on those initial releases. In truth, though, I have nothing against the idea of volume releases (especially for shows that aren't held together by continuing plot threads) as long as three things are clear:

1) They need to be priced according to content and no more expensive individually than a season set would be.
2) Don't start releasing Full Seasons and then switch tactics mid-stream to confuse unsuspecting buyers.
3) If it isn't a season, all content needs to be...

great content
I rated content 5 stars - however be careful , Volume 5 - ( IS NOT SEASON 5 ) it contains 16 episodes of season 2 which comes to 63 cents per episode being a good bargain.

Why are morbidly obese tattooed motorheads / gun freaks who trade verbal abuse and haggle with customers so FASCINATING?!
This is perhaps the most popular show on cable. I dunno, maybe it's because this crew reminds people of family businesses they know, just as it takes me back to 50-some years ago, working with my brothers in our curmudgeonly uncle's store. For whatever reason, the Pawn Stars are much more appealing than I would have imagined if someone had just described the people and goings-on in this large 24/7 Las Vegas Harrison-family-run pawnshop to me. The grumpy "Old Man," who shares my 1941 vintage, joins his engagingly merry wisecracking smartassed but equally knowledgeable son Rick and somewhat more serious but financially more venturesome grandson Corey in (when the Old Man isn't dozing in his chair) trading barbs, jibes and cheap shots (with about 25 bleeps per show), along with ganging up on the mascot Chumlee, a longtime friend of Corey's with a great fondness for chicken wings and items he deems "AWESOME." Chumlee finds reliable concealment for napping during working hours, will...

Sura Flow Yoga: Complete Beginners Program ''Energy Healing, Yoga & Meditation''

Gentle and Meditative Practice
Sura Flow Yoga: The Complete Integrative Program for Beginners. Includes "Yoga, Energy Healing & Life Skills" and "Deep Relaxation and Guided Meditation".

This is a meditative, mostly gentle yoga practice which focuses on the mind/body connection and movement of the spine. There are no standing poses. All poses are done seated, on hands and knees or lying on the floor. Sura is an excellent instructor with a quiet, calm voice. The production quality is very high. The dvd was filmed at a mountain lake in Boulder, CO and the background scenery is gorgeous.

While billed as a yoga dvd, there are elements of tai chi/qi gong. Many of the poses incorporate circular or wave like movements of the spine and limbs. I use Lee Holden's Qi Gong dvds frequently and feel that this dvd has a kinship with his practices. People who prefer more active vinyasa style yoga might find this too slow.

Most of the poses would be accessible to someone who is new to yoga,...

More Than Yoga
A beginner at yoga, I've tried a few programs before and immediately lost interest. This program is much, much different. Sura guides you through exercises that stretch your body, but more than that, stretches your consciousness. Somehow she helps put you in tune with yourself and your place in the universe. Very peaceful and relaxing. Enlightening. The motions are low-impact in nature and feel natural. The production qualities are excellent, with great music and beautiful scenery (not to mention Sura herself). The modular nature of the multiple programs allow you to piece together your own session, allowing you to select which ones you want to do in what order. Makes it easy to accommodate changing available time and interest. Do yourself a huge favor and get this DVD. It's a huge bargain, especially for those seeking the elusive peace of mind. You won't regret it!

Gentle and wonderful
I really love this SuraFlow DVD. The yoga sequences are gentle and I love the circular flow to the movements. I resonate well with the grounding, healing and meditations segments, and I really appreciate being able to select a different custom practice from day-to-day depending on how much time I have and what my body needs. Sura's voice and manner are really soothing and encouraging, and the visual backdrop is stunning - adding to the meditative experience of watching the DVD. I highly recommend it!

WWE: Money in the Bank 2012

Who's Gonna Grab The Case?
World Championship Money In The Bank Ladder Match: Santino Marella vs. Tyson Kidd vs. Christian vs. Sin Cara vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Damien Sandow vs. Tensai vs. Dolph Ziggler - As expected in a multi-man ladder match, this was full of crazy moments & spots such as Cody Rhodes backdropping Sin Cara who turned it mid-air into a dropkick on Dolph, Dolph taking very dangerous falls throughout the match including one with Sin Cara, Christian's top rope splash onto the ladder, the involvement of Vickie Guerrero, Tensai's domination, the innovative way Tyson Kidd knocked Dolph off a ladder, Sin Cara having a case of "deja vu", and Cody Rhodes being speared off a ladder. This was one of those ladder matches that was a stunt show with the crazy bumps & spots with the winner of the match reflecting the same feelings I had, "It's About Damn Time!"

World Champion Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio - Sheamus came into this match with a bad shoulder from a previous attack & Del Rio targeted it...

WWE Money in the Bank 2012 review
Smackdown's MITB match was a pretty good,hard-hitting,high-flying bout despite some mess-ups & dumb moments. The World's title match between Sheamus & Alberto Del Rio was a solid,back-and-forth bout to say the least. The Bonus tag team match between the team of Primo & Epico and The Prime Time Players(Titus O'Neil & Darren Young) had nice high-flying,double teaming, brawling action. The WWE title match between CM Punk & Daniel Bryan started off pretty good then things really picked up when weapons got involved and AJ played the conflicted referee very well. The handicap match between Ryback & the team of Curt Hawkins & Tyler Reks while not the best match on the card,Hawkins & Reks put up a better fight then Rybacks's past victims. The 6 divas tag team match started off pretty good but fell apart in the end. Not to mention it was short for it's own good. The Raw MITB was a smash-mouth,power-driven,nail-biting brawl. I give this PPV a 8 out of 10.

Fun stuff, high spots and plenty of crashes...
On this night we get to see if one of 4 former WWE champions can get the famed briefcase and if a Smackdown newcomer will become the next in line for a title shot, in the respective Money In The Bank Ladder Matches. Also can Sheamus stop the disarming run of terror by Alberto Del Rio and will CM Punk overcome his nemesis Daniel Bryan and AJ's mental state as the official to hold onto the WWE title?

-Smackdown Money In The Bank Ladder Match, Dolph Ziggler vs. Christian vs. Santino Marella vs. Damien Sandow vs. Tyson Kidd vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Sin Cara vs. Tensai: A mixture of newcomers and veterans in this one, the most shocking had to be Tyson (shocked WWE remembered he was still on the roster), Tensai does dominate early and everyone gets some good spots in. Dolph and Cara crash and burn from the top with Cara taking the worse of it, Christian spears Sandow into a ladder. It stays a good pace but there's some dead air, the closing moments are good where everyone goes for the...

Just Like The Pilgrims Intended [HD]

Even better than the first!
I've recently decided that Shameless is the best show on television currently. It's the kind of series that's so fast-moving, so well acted and written, that you can watch it over and over again and notice new quirks each time. Some people would probably call the show's lack of shame tasteless. To me, it's exciting. You truly don't know what's going to happen next!

The second season started out a little slow, but once Frank's mother ("Grammy") shows up, things really kick into gear. Played with utter relish by the great Louise Fletcher, Grammy's a force of nature. And let's just say, her character arc ends in quite a... shocking way.

Season Two also sees the return of Chloe Webb as Monica Gallagher, Frank's estranged wife and altogether crazy, sad character. Her episodes are such a great, gritty depiction of mental illness. I'm always amazed with how this show manages to be both fall out of your seat funny and completely heartbreaking... sometimes at the same...

Totally GREAT
I can't wait until season two comes out on DVD. Shameless is totally different and fantastically written, directed and the actors superbly cast. If it continues with this great ensemble, it will last season after season for years.

Great show! Fun to watch!
I love love love this show! The characters are so well written play out great. Nothing clean about this humor though folks, so if you are looking for a show to watch with the family, try something else.

Community: The Complete Third Season

This Show STILL Delivers!
Everything about the first two seasons was top notch. The acting, writing, and directing just continued to get better and better as the story unfolded. It's safe to say that this is STILL the case with the third season of this critically acclaimed comedy!

The writers are taking the excellence of this show very seriously, and it has already paid off in spades for fans. This season, they've truly gone all in, and its easy to see why: This is re-writing all the rules about what a TV comedy can accomplish within 22 minutes. It's smart, hilarious, edgy (and even a little weird - but in a good way). I hope that by the end of this season it'll no longer be the most underrated comedy on TV today, and will begin to gain the popularity that it's deserved for the past three seasons.

PLEASE, PLEASE DON'T CANCEL THIS SHOW, NBC!!!
This is the funniest show on TV. The only others that come close are "Parks and Rec." and "30 Rock." Please, NBC, do not cancel this awesome show. I will buy the DVD sets to support it. Thanks.

This is the secret love child of Arrested Development and Friends. Best show on tv now
This show is seriously one of the best shows on tv now. It is the comedic successor of arrested development; it contains all the wit, play on words, intelligent and observational humour that arrested development had. Unfortunantly because this show doesn't have a laugh track and requires some thought to enjoy it isn't getting the attention it deserves.

It takes numerous views to get most of the jokes and after watching the first two seasons at least 4-5 times I still catch things I've missed. It's hilarious, the acting is superb, the attention to detail is astounding, and the writing is at another level. Preorder this and I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Here's hoping for 6 seasons and a movie.

Destruction Worker [HD]

if money were no object, I would own every episode
I don't care if every episode is a reenactment because just like the less watchable Undercover Boss, it perfectly captures the stress and marginalization of living out the American dream. The hoarding, the disappointment, the callous disregard for rented property. It's part of that whole sundamaged, poor diet frustrated lifestyle that can also be seen in that Pawn Shop show. I usually don't follow these shows but this show stands out in being very anecdotal in every episode - cautionary tales of the there for the grace of god go you variety.

Crazy but possible
I am a landlord and *some* of the encounters are possible, others are staged. Overall very funny and worth watching.

Funny!
I'm not one for reality shows like this but I do enjoy it! I find the tenants and their situations hilarious when they think they can do anything in the property they don't even own. This show lets renters out there remember that they can't do anything they want to the property they own. There are rules they have to follow because they signed a contract. Recommend!

The Smurfs and the Magic Flute

Enjoyable Movie, but this is the UK Dub and Characters' Names Have Been Changed!
The Smurfs and the Magic Flute was directed by the Smurfs creator Peyo and was released to theaters in 1976 in Belgium, and 1979 in the United Kingdom. In 1981, NBC aired The Smurfs from Hanna-Barbera and it was an instant success. An English dubbed version of The Smurfs and the Magic Flute came out to theaters in the USA in 1983. Despite being disliked by critics, the move was a box-office success. Over the years it has been only available on VHS, but never on DVD, until now.

The movie centers on a young squire, Johan, and his goofy sidekick, Peewit, (Peyo created the characters in 1952 and then created the Smurfs in 1958). Peewit gets a hold of a flute that has only six holes. Whoever is playing the flute can control other people by making them dance.

A stranger, Matthew McCreep, steels the flute from Peewit and uses the flute to rob people. The King sends Johan and Peewit to retrieve the flute or their kingdom may fall. They fail at their first attempt to get...

Smurfs
Certainly worth a look for any Smurffan, or animation buff. Catchy little story line, okay animation, but what do you want from 1983? Although I was upset that Gargamel and Azreial were not in it. Watch it! Why not? It's only 75 mins.

Smurfs and magic Flute
I first saw this video when i was about 7 years old, and have been trying to find it ever since, even though I am now 23!!.. this is definatly the best smurfs video ever, and the songs are sooo catchy!! i could watch this over and over again and not get bored, it is just great!

I have learned a lot about little people through this amazing series. The Roloffs also take their viewers to their conventions which opens our eyes to the need for more advocacy for this special community. I love watching this show. I think the Roloffs are a fun family to watch, I wish I could get some credits to watch all of little people Big world episodes. I love. Amazon, & have referred Amazon to many of my friends, to try. I will continue to be a customer, I just can't afford to purchase anything right now, I'm on Disability & have to support my family on 851.00 a mth , so it's been tough right now, but we do love Amazon, & if u don't have it , u should give them a try. Fresh Beat Band: The Wizard Of Song

The Fresh Beats band at its best
My kids love the Fresh Beats band and have seen all of the first 2 seasons. Although their music is catchy and they do a great show for kids it wasn't until I purchased this DVD and watched it with my kids that I was won over. Since we don't have cable (only Netflix and Hulu Plus) we hadn't seen any of these episodes prior to buying this disc. The Wizard of Song episode was really well done. It was a perfect mix of the original story and the style of the Freash Beats. I thought that it was quite clever. This was also the first time that I had seen the new Marina. Some may disagree with me but I thought she was great. Yes, she is different then the previous actress that filled the role but I felt that she was a great fit with the group and had excellent energy. This disc also included a couple of other episodes. I was pleased to see that in these episodes the band actually ventures to different locations outside of their original set which allowed for a greater variation in...

Fun Fresh Beats
My daughters love the Fresh Beat Band. They really loved the Wizard of Song when it was on television.
It is great to have it on DVD format. I just wish their concert tickets were not so pricey!

My boys love it
Put it in and let it play.... worked fine... cant complain the boys love it and all the disc work without a doubt thanks again.

Stott Pilates Foam Roller Challenge DVD

disapointed
For the price of this dvd I wasn't impressed at all. I have several in my collection including Windsor Pilates and 10 Minute Solution; with varying degrees of intensity. I was looking to increase the effectiveness of my workout and already own one foam roller dvd that is very intense. When I received this DVD I was very disapointed; the reps are so short that by the time you start to feel anything the instructor moves onto something else. I think that out of the entire workout there was one exercise that felt like it was working. I would've GLADLY returned it if I could have, but DVD's can only be returned unopened. Don't waste your money, and by a less expensive/more effective DVD!

FOAM ROLLER
As with all of the STOTT PILATES DVDs, this one is very easy to follow and gives a great workout. I also bought STOTT PILATES "Pilates on a Roll", and it is also excellent and has a different workout.

I found it very sudisfata
I found it very sudisfata, clear explanations, for those who do not know English very intuitive, would recommend to any teacher who wants to change her lessons

Stott Pilates-Amazing Body 3 DVD Set

Love it!
I gave this set a four star rating because I think Stott Pilates are the best pilate DVDs that I personally have used. I have tried four other types and Stott pilates leaves you sweating and feeling like you have had a real work out. Good instruction through the session as well. The Total Body Sculpting DVD is with the flex band and is a good work out but not as intense as the Secret to Toned Arms, Buns and Thighs DVD which gets things really burning! I didn't realise what the Essential Reformer 3rd edition DVD was about and it is no good to me as you require equipment that I don't have and is probably aimed at very advanced users or potential instructors. Myself, I would probably have just bought the Secret to Toned Arms, Buns and Thighs DVD knowing what I know now. :-)

average
I am disappointed in this DVD set. I don't really feel like I got a workout. I chose STOTT pilates because they had the best reviews for instruction and exercises. I feel like I've gotten a better workout from Pilates for Dummies!

What a rip off!!
This product is a total rip off!! It comes with 3 DVDs in which only one would play in any of my DVD players. The one that did play wouldn't stream properly and would freeze up every minute or so and never worked properly. I emailed the company and told them I bought it on Amazon.com and asked for a replacement. They said they needed my purchase order number that I returned to them immediately. They said they couldn't find anything and wouldn't be able to do a thing about the problem.... Oh we are really sorry, but the video is produced in a format that works around the world, we don't know why it doesn't work for you. It must be your DVD player. Funny thing, everything else plays in my DVD players. Save your $30. When I started checking there was a link to the set from the Amazon return site that talked about the DVDs having problems on some players so I guess I'm not the only one who got sucker punched.... Stott and Merrithew Corp, I hope you enjoy my money because it is...
